Have you ever been in a dark place with out light? not the best of situations to say the least. As i write this, I own aproxmently 15 different illumination devices. From flood lights, flashlights, 90 degree jacket lights, lanterns ect. In the U.S most people own about 2 to 5 flashlights, but the problem is...most are cheap and or not the right one for the job. Think back to your most recent memory of mass buying of flashlights in your life. Maybe that hurricane or snowstorm, local or state goverment said there would be rollings black or brown outs in your area. when you went to buy a flashlight and batteries all the "good cheap ones" were gone. Which proves my point very well. That $1 flashlight that runs on 3 AAA isn't going to last to any abuse or good amount of time. It will also have a horrible battery life, not be very bright and will most likely not even work well. please take a hour out of your busy life and research what you need in lighting. From brands like NEBO, Olight. Streamlight, jetfire and so on. Even brands like Coleman, Ozark Trail and other name brand but not top brand names have great options. There are also what kind of light you need as well, such as:

Flood light- lights large areas up, large coverage area from 45 to 180 degrees.

Spot light- a finer beam of light usually brighter than flood and in a smaller coverage area.

lantern or area light- pretty much everyone knows what a lantern does. 360 lighting, dome lighting also is a great option.

Hands free: head lamp, 90 degree wearable light ect. for when your hands need to be busy not holding your light source.

I've included some of the my favorite and most practical lights.

NEBO 300-Lumen LED Work Light Flashlight: Durable Pocket Sized Magnetic Flashlight

Ozark Trail LE LED Camping Lantern, Battery Powered LED with 1000LM

Streamlight 88087 ProTac 90 Right-Angle Light

Nitecore NU25 360 LM Rechargeable Headlamp
